hidden symbols (Robert, Stella)

Shannon stood in front of a painting at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, she read that there was a hidden symbol in the painting, but she yet to find it, she looked at the hand out again, then back at the painting, "How on earth do they expect people to find it?" she out loud, not seeing who was around her

Hearing Shannon, Robert said "Maybe you should look more carefully, hidden symbols can be found in surprising places."

Shannon looked at the person behind her, "Thank you" she said to him, she turned back, then looked at the guy again, "Professor Langdon?" she said, recognizing the voice

"Yes I m Professor Robert Langdon."

Shannon nodded, "Its nice to meet you" she said to him, "I heard about you after the.....incident in Rome." Shannon added, keeping her voice low

"Rome, tragic day, not something people want to remember, four cardinals dead, multiple Swiss guard and the Camerlango himself." Robert said remembering that the Camerlango planned the events.

Shannon nodded, "Agreed" she replied, quickly getting back to the painting, "There it is" she said out loud, having found the symbol

"Looks like you found it, great for you."

Shannon nodded, "My next question though: what does it meen?" she asked, looking closely at it

"The answer may depend on when and who you ask also it may depend on what material you use as reference."

Shannon looked at Robert when he said that to her, "I see" she replied with a slight nod as she spoke

"IN different cultures the same symbol can mean different things."

"Of course" Shannon replied in agreement, "Like the swastika for instance" she added

"Or the trident, which used to be called the Posiedons Triden and now it is the DEvils Pitchfork."

"Aye" Shannon replied with a slight nod as she listened to Robert

"We also have they Klux Klux Khan uniform, over here in America it means racist, but in Spain it means a priest, ironic isn't it?"

"Yes it is" Shannon replied, a hint of anger in her voice about that one, "Then there is shamrock: to many its a symbol of luck, but to the Irish its the trinity." she added

"Symbology is such a intresting topic."

Shannon smiled a bit, "Yes it is, I'll have to read more about it." she replied, Shannon looked back at the painting that was in front of them, seeing the symbol again

a few minutes later, Shannon moved onto the next painting, "Albrecht Dürer's 'Adoration of the Trinity.'" she said out loud
