Trouble [everyone]

Thomas watched Mac as he looked over the note, "Its from the brother of the lad that was arrested and he had threatened you." he said to Haylen in a calm tone

I gave the note to Haylen, as it was for her. That guy threatened my team member and for once he got me worried. But I couldn't just keep Haylen at the lab day and night, so she was protected, though I wasn't sure she wanted police protection at all.

I read the note and went silent, staring at the note, lost in thoughts.

Thomas watched her, then looked at Mac, "I'll head up her protection detail." he said to Mac

"I think that's a good idea." I said to Thomas and then looked at Haylen. She seemed a little caught off guard, but I couldn't fault her.
"I guess I don't have much of a choice here..." she said then.

Thomas looked at Haylen, "Its going to be okay Haylen" he said to her in a comforting way

"I hope so." I said and tried a small smile.

"I know it's sounds a little stressing that someone will always watch your steps, but better it's us then it's him. And this threat sounds way too real" I told Haylen.

Thomas nodded agreement after Mac spoke, he looked over at Haylen

I look up at Thomas and give him a small smile as I walk up to him.
"Okay if I take a small break, Mac?" I asked him and he nodded. I hoped that Thomas would follow me out of the room, after I shet my lab coat. Not that I was frightened, but I was worried and I wanted to apologize properly for earlier.

Thomas followed after Haylen when she left the room, wondering what was on her mind, "Haylen, what is it?" he asked

"I... uh... I guess I just wanted to apologize for earlier... I shouldn't have yelled at you. Sorry." I said and looked at him a little defeated.

Thomas nodded, "Your forgiven Haylen" he said to her in a gentle tone, touching her hand at the same time

"Thanks." I say and smile. "You know... I'm not scared easily and I'm not really frightened, but I do worry about that guy. Mac and I found that the fingerprint they said I missed belonged to the main suspect's lawyer and I think it was planted, but what keeps me wondering is why and how." I said and walked down the hallway to the breakroom, wanting to get some coffee.

Thomas followed Haylen to the room, "Haylen, we will keep you safe" he said to her

"I know..." I said quietly, still worrying about the case.

Thomas reached out and gently took Haylen's hand in his, "I will have to be killed before this lad can harm you." he said to her

I looked up at him and smiled warmly.
"Sometimes I think one must kill your whole family to get to me." I said in a light tone. "Thank you."

Thomas smiled a bit, then nodded, "Your welcome" he replied gently while letting go over hand

"So what happens now? I don't really feel like being watched by an officer all the time..." I said a little uncertain.

"I'm going to get you to a safe house, then get a detail assigned to you." Thomas said to her

"Now it sounds a little exciting." I said quietly. I wasn't liking this, but I knew I probably had no choice. "Though I feel like hiding..."

"Its not going to last for long." Thomas said to her, sensing fear in Haylen's voice

I nodded.
"I hope so." I said quietly.

Thomas smiled a bit, then got Haylen to the safe house
