Blazing lights [Mac]

I chuckle and then just smile at her.

"In summer I think." I reply, not really thinking about my answer.

"That's far away" I reply

"Yeah, but you never know who's planning something earlier. Some people just like those get together events." I say and smirk.

"get together events... but they don't want co-workers to get together... I don't get that bit.. " I tell him and shake my head

"Yeah, they don't want that for others but they don't care themselves." I comment quietly.

"I know, they just have a relationship with their trainees..." I reply quietly, remembering one of the highest bosses. I had found him on the women toilets with his trainee...

"See. I guess it could work, but that depends on the people involved." I said.

"I agree, but I've hear most relationships start at work. Look at Thomas and Shannon, they are happily married with kids" I reply

"I know, they're a great couple. Danny and Lindsay can work together also." I said remember a few other married couples that work together.

"You're right, I don't see the problem, if I find someone at work I like I would just date him you know" I say

I look up at her in surprise. Was she wanting to say...? You're dreaming, Mac...
"If it's worth the try, why not." I say carefully.

"That's right, have you ever dated a co-worker?" I dare to ask

I look down to the ground for a moment, actually surprised.
"No, haven't been dating anyone lately." I say in truth.

"Why not? you're a nice Man, not ugly either, you should go out more often Mac" I smile

"Well, I guess I'd find enough women interested, but... I just didn't want to. Guess am just not ready to move on you know." I say quietly.

"but it has been such a long time and I think Claire wants you to be happy" I tell him and lay my hand on his shoulder "You should at least try"

"Maybe... life goes on, I know... just didn't really met that one...." I say carefully.

"Oh that's a shame..." I say quietly.. "um I think I'm going to get something to drink.. um do you want something too?" I try to hide my disappointment and walk to the kitchen

"I'm not sure about that... might not be here today if I found someone...." I say noticing the hint of disappointment in her voice. "I'll be fine with anything you have."

"Right! ok I'll get you something" yea why would he be here if he found someone to be with.. he would be at home with his girlfriend...

"You know... you're really a special person, Stella. Liked you right away." I say in truth as she comes back.

"that's sweet of you Mac" I smile and put his drink down on the table

"You're welcome." I say and then stay quiet.
