'Partner time' [Mac]

I sit next to you silently.

I watch some other ducks while eating the ice cream

"You know, it's been a while since I was here, just sitting here and doing nothing." I say in a calm, yet quiet tone.

"It's nice, isn't it?" I smile and look at you

"Peaceful and quiet. I actually can use that sometimes to just maybe think about something else but work." I agree and lock eyes with you.

"You know you can always ask and we can have a 'partner day' whenever you want" I smile and look at you

"Who says I'd be alone and had nothing to do?" I ask in a light tone and smile.

"oh right, maybe you have a girlfriend and live happily ever after" I smile and think about peyton, quin and all those women.. blehh.. my smile turns into a frown and look at the ducks

"What were thinking that makes you frown like that?" I ask and frown, too.

"Nothing interesting enough to share" I force myself to smile

"Are you sure?" I say frowning.

"No but that won't change my mind" I grin and hand you the ice cream "your turn"

I take it and smile, somehow feeling like a small boy again.
"Besides, I'm not sure about the girlfriend thing... Maybe I'm gonna stay a single man?"

"Maybe, but probably not" I smile.

oh well maybe yes, if some kind of bitch shows up by his doorstep asking for sugar or whatever I'm gonna execute her! No one will ever find her I can assure you that! Won't let anyone hurt Mac again! That's the promise and I'll keep

I look at you in surprise. Did I hear something like jealousy in there?
"Uh... actually I came to change my 'type' of women."

"That was about time Taylor, your eyes have been closed ever since.." my voice trails off.. I immediately regret saying that even though I haven't finished my line yet, I'm sure he knows what I mean "I mean, maybe it is time to change"

Knowing what she wanted to say a sad feeling settled in my mind for a moment, but I knew she didn't mean it to hurt me.
"It's okay. I know you're right, Stella. And I plan to change a few things, just not who I am."

"You are who you are and I don't want you to change in anyway it would be so... so unlike Mac Taylor if you change things about yourself. So never stop shaving Taylor! I don't think a mustache would suit you well" I smile and imagine Mac with a mustache, that must be gross, sorry if you can read my mind Mac but I like you better without!

"I never planned to change that. Besides... I don't like myself with mustache either. Never liked that." I say and give you an amused smile.

"You have no idea how happy I am to hear that" I smile back at you

Maybe....

I smile at you and then offer you the ice cream again.
