Not fair [Mac]

"This is so not fair, Mom isn't giving me anymore money to go shopping with Lydia" Eleni drops herself on the couch. "I understand she has bills to pay and that she's has to pay everything on her own and that's it tough with a child but man........... I really need a new pair of jeans"

I look at Eleni and sit down beside her, placing my hand on her shoulder. I'm not really sure what to say now.
"So... what are you going to do about it?"

"I'm going to let mom move in with you so instead of paying the rent she can pay my cloths" Eleni jokes and gets up to grab the tv remote.

"Or I'll just stay here and watch tv"

"I already got a room here and we are staying here so often that I don't care anymore and I don't believe you are just her best friend" I give Mac a look and frown

"Why the frown?" I asked a bit curious.

"I saw your baby photo's, I look like you, are you my dad?" I glare at you and lay the tv remote down

I look at Eleni in shock. How did she know? And what the hell do I tell her now?
"I have the feeling that it's going to end up in trouble..." I whisper.

"What did you say UNCLE Mac?" Eleni frowns like Mac always does

"I said stop frowning." I lied, knowing I won't get out of it.

"you recognize youself in it don't you?" Eleni frowns even more. she wants to know!

"What if I told you? Will you promise not to run, but listen and try to understand?" I ask in a weak tone. She sounded upset, but she was right, I knew I had just the same frown and she would find out anyways.

"is that a yes? DAD?" Eleni says with a frown. "I won't run. just stay at Lydia's"

"I'd say leaving and stay at Lydia's counts under running, Eleni." I say in a serious tone.

"O right now you dare to say you're my dad you try to boss me around too?" Eleni frowns and gets up from the couch to leave

I gently grab her arm and stop her from leaving.
"You wanted to know, so yes, you're my daughter. But I won't let you leave just like that, not knowing if your mad at us, but knowing you don't know the story behind it." I say firmly as I let go of her arm.

"How can you not tell me you're my father?" Eleni frowns again "yes i'm mad"

"I know you are, so am I. Don't think I didn't regret my choice, but it wasn't mine alone." I tell her in a calm tone, hoping she'd stay and try to understand.

"Why? Why did you not stay with mom and why did you never tell me?" Eleni asks and frowns

"First of all, we were scared, and the second thing is that if anybody found out it could have cost both our jobs and we both needed it." I said calmly. "But that doesn't mean I don't care about you. And I do regret not telling you."

"you two are so stupid! YOUR JOB? you care more about your job than me, that's very good to know" Eleni frowns and walks to the door

I open the door and see an angry Eleni walking up to me "Eleni? what's wrong? Mac?"

"That's not true, Eleni!" I said, slightly getting upset and follow her and stop when I see Stella. Oh my...

"Mom........Thank you so much for not telling my dad was right in front of me" Eleni says angry

I look at Stella with a sad and yet slightly disappointed expression. I really didn't know what to say anymore.
