Back home after paying a visit to the hospital [Mac]

Before she left I decided to stop her by giving her a hug.

as mac pulls me in a hug I start to cry hard

"I...I don't want to b...e a detective any...anymore.. there are too ma...any risks and I..I don't like that anymore.. "

I listened carefully as she was crying. On one side, I understood how she felt, because this job was difficult. But on the other side, I loved my job... I respected her choices.

-It's okay... look... if you don't want to be detective anymore, you can stop...

"i don't want you to be one either i don't want us to die!!" i cry out. I want all my friends to stop... Sad

i love my job but it has so many risks.. Sad

-Stella... I know theres risks in that job... but we will always be in danger, even here... by people that can come in a shoot us, or when we go outside... we will always have risks to die...

*sigh*

But we take the risk to help our city right?

-It just... I love my job... even if I'm injured after a bad day...

I did a smile.

-I know your worried about loosing someone... but they choosed that job... they know the risks and they are still there every day, playing with death every time theres a bas moment outside of the lab... They love their job... Don't you love yours ?

I know, I know I guess I'm just a little confused.

I went in front of her and gave her a kiss on her lips.

-You're scared about loosing someone.... I do too. That job have a lot of risks, and even if we change our jobs, will get other risks.

I did a little smile. My stomach starts to make some weird sounds, I was hungry.

-Huh... you want to eat something ? Maybe... ice cream ?

I don't know why I wanted to eat that....

yea you are right, I probably should just stay.. with you!

I lay my hands on his cheeks and kiss him again.

Yes ice cream would be great sweetheart.

I smile and hug him tight

I step out of the elevater, my hands a bit wet and shaking because I am quite nervous right now. I walk up to the door that it my destination.
I stand in front of it overthinking my plans and asking myslef if I really should do that... all I knew is that my boss and Stella just arrived at home, but I am standing now in front of the door and I do not even think about turning around and leave without saying hi to my boss.
So I take a deep breath and knock at the doof shyly. All I have to do now is wait for someone who will open it.
And I am a nervous wreck again.

I hear a knock on the door and look up.

Who can that be?

I pull away the hug and look at Mac

I'm gonna open the door okay, Don't go anywhere!

I walk to the door and open it

Hey Haylen, whatcha doing here?

*SMILE*

The door opens and Stella stands in front of me. I look down at my feet and then look back at her to answer her question.
"Hey Stella... I.. uhm... just wanted to say hi to you and Mac... and see how he's doing. Hope I didn't interrupt you... I mean I can come back tomorrow or another day..." I say quickly.

*damn it... Haylen what ya saying here?* (I think)

"oh no it's fine come in"

Guess Mac and me will eat ice cream another time I love you

I step into the apartment and am quite impressed about it. Already the space behind the door looks inviting to me and I kind of feeling welcome.

I really don't want to disturb you. You two have a really nice place to live, do you know that? Wish I could have that, too...

*that might sound jealous, Haylen... but, yes I am a bit jealous, but I'll work hard and get such a nice home too.*

"Thank you Haylen. I'm sure you'll have such a home too one day, I mean you are still young"

"and we aren't" I whisper hoping Mac wouldn't hear it

Oh, come on, Stella, you're not that old... I wihisper back to Stella
And, well, I'll work hard and I hope it'll work. What's Mac doing? It's hard to keep him away from work, isn't it?

"I'm old Haylen.. u know that!"

"You are doing great at work don't worry about that!, Oh he's listening pretty good actually heheh"

From what I've heard he's quite kind of a workaholic... but if he listens to you he's a good man. Must be great to have someone who takes care of you. And Stella, I still think you're not old.

I give her a smile.

"Oh yeaa he is a good man, huh sweetheart" *smiles at Mac*

I walked a little closer of them and did a smile. I remember Haylen, but what was she here for ?

*OMG.... don't pass out Haylen... just calm down and answer him... maybe he should know why I am here..... does he really want to know???*

I'm fine... uhm... how about you? Wanted to see how you're doing... oh and I want to invite you two to my house-warming party this weekend... I was hoping you would like to come over then I say and smile shyly.

-Not so bad... just came out of the hospital today...

I kept my smile.

-Huh... I don't know, what about you Stella ? You would like to go to the party ?

"of course I want to go" I look at Mac and back to Haylen with a smile!
